The insurance calculator for travellers was tested on its ability to upsell additional services.

Visitors don't notice many of the additional options and services, or don't understand why they might need them. This reduces the average bill.

  • Travel abroad at least once a year
  • Equally divided between iOS, Android and PC users
Issues IDENTIFIED
  • Most research participants didn't notice the different options and, if they did, they misunderstood them.
  • Participants were confused by the overly detailed description and titles.
  • The texts didn't motivate participants to make a purchase.

Based on the results, the company created three redesigned prototypes of the calculator and its visuals. After a quick test, they presented the best one to their target audience.
